Dual finish has been my recent discovery. I have never paid attention to it because I've had powder foundation I was happy with - MAC Studio fix. Once I've tried Dual finish and it looked bad - no coverage at all. Later I realized it was terrible sponge I used that picked up barely any product. Anyway recently after using liquid foundations most of the time I wanted to turn back to powder foundation again since it's so fast and much easier than liquid. My Studio fix did not work as well as before because my skin gets very dry in the winter time. So I gave another chance to Dual finish and I was pleasantly surprised how good it looked on my skin after applying it with the sponge that comes with the compact.

Sleek black compact comes with one thin powder puff - for very light coverage and to be used as setting powder. Also comes with a thick soft sponge that provides more coverage if you prefer to use it as powder foundation. Sponge is supposed to be used wet if you plan using it as a cream foundation (have not tried it). I have tried using it as a setting powder - puff picks up more powder than I expected but still looks great over liquid foundation. Gives that extra coverage if you are using liquid foundation with medium or light coverage. Gives matte finish. Most of the time I use it just as a powder foundation with a sponge. It gives medium coverage - although it's buildable. Definitely covers less than MAC studio fix powder foundation but at the same time it looks more natural, powder is softer and more finely milled. It's not as obvious on skin as Studio fix.

I bought Matte Neutrale II which is slightly darker than MAC NC20 and less yellow / more beige (neutral).

I've read online many complaints about the scent - it is strong powdery floral scent but I find it nice. It goes away fast. So don't make this stop from purchasing. Although I do understand if someone has very sensitive skin why this could bother them.

I know Dual finish has been one of the Lancome best sellers for many years (or even decades) and many women use just this and nothing else. I am so glad I tried it because it's such a pleasent surprise. You get three product in one - setting powder, powder foundation and cream foundation.

Amount of product is also fabulous - 19gr!! Just think of Shiseido who has 9gr or Benefit hello flawless with miserable 7gr (and only couple of dollars less than Dual finish). For 38$ and 19gr this product is amazing deal!

Another great thing is huge range of shades -26!

I have tried using it over just moisturizer, hydrating primer or tinted moisturizer and it always looked good. I have no problem with dryness, did not make my skin feel tight, did not look cakey, did not fade during the day... pretty much I have no complaint about it! yay

Dual finish is great choice if you want something quick, easy, fool proof, purse and travel friendly, 3 products in one for great price. I could not ask for more!
