Rimmel London Provocalips Lip Colours ❤

I'm sure you've heard much about these, about their out-of-this-world long-lasting formula. OK. That was over-eggxageration, but these Provocalips ($17.95) the most long-wearing lip products I've ever tried!

I've mentioned in my previous swatch post that they did not budge off my arms until I brought in an oily dual-phase make-up remover, but that was just on the arms, right?! Most products tend to do so on the arms, but wearing them on the lips is a different thing.

Well, guess what! These Provocalips lip colours do not budge on the lips either! AND CALL ME CRAZY, BUT I ACTUALLY WENT AHEAD AND TESTED THEIR "16 HOURS WEAR" CLAIM.

Worst day of my life, I hated having to constantly photograph, check-up and having something on my lips for 16 hours!!!

Don't worry about the lighting differences, swatches will be down below! 

6AM: Freshly applied. Sealed it with the gloss. Also over-coloured my lips a tad.

10AM: The "gloss" wore off not too long after, but in this photo, the the lip colour settled between the lines. Didn't feel drying though. I didn't reapply the gloss, for trialling purposes!

1PM: Munched down two packets of instant noodles. Yum! It was somewhat oily, so there's teeny tiny tad of rub-off from the center. Intensity of the shade is still same-same!

4PM: Snacked on a peanut-butter bread roll, downed two smoothies. You can see how it is from the center.

10PM: Alright, 16 hours! The intensity definitely worn off, but the colour is still there! I sneaked in a pie before I took this pic, so that's the result after 3 meals and 2 drinks! Oh, did I mention that I also had a noon-nap and a shower?

Rollover for effect

No bleedings! Hooray!

The weightless formula is impressively non-drying, but [ridiculously] long-lasting. It won't budge unless it meets anything oily, and I'm not kidding. Here's a short snippet of it against Garnier Micellar Water:


It's applies to be extremely pigmented and glossy, but after 1-2 minutes, it dries down to a matte finish. The clear gloss is a must to seal down the stickiness and to have the colour stay in place.

In saying so, one thing that could potentially become a "problem" also lays within the formula. It's like a nail polish. You'll have a fair bit of time to apply and fix, however, once it starts to set, you'd be better off not touching it any more to avoid turning it into a hot mess. Once it sets, it's unmovable. If you need to fix, apply the clear gloss and THEN go over and fix up any bits you needed (don't worry, it won't feel thick).

With this, it means that when your meal is oily, [very] slight retouching is a must. It's not like a lipstick, where you could try to "move" the product around to even-out instead of re-touching. It'll chip from the center.

For the light shades, some layering is necessary, but it's not drying! Don't you worry!

Light pink. Extremely bright on my tanner-skin. Needs to be layered for a full opaque coverage.

A lot of people like this shade! It's a very easy-to-wear pink-berry shade.

Kiss Fatal 
It looks dark, but it's not "vampy". It's just a deeper mauve that pulls a tad berry-toned. Really strange colour and is definitely not one that I'd reach for often. Reminds me a lot of a nail polish I own!

Little Minx
I'm ALL for the brights, and this one is it! The brightest pink for the collection, but it looks so damn nice on the lips and in photos!

Skinny Dip
Oh my god, this true nude seriously just sinks into my skin-tone. It completely erases my lip colour and makes me look like a zombie. I'm not really one for nudes. Love the name though.

Make A Move
I can't say that this is a MLBB colour for me, but I'm pretty sure it is for some. I like it a lot, just because it seems like one to suit all skin-tones. On Mum, who's much tanner than myself, this looks amazing on her. Instantly lights up her face. Don't let the shade on the packaging deceive you!

Kiss Me You Fool
ANOTHER bright one, but red! This fire-engine red is one of my top picks from this collection!

Play With Fire

Another red, but darker and deeper.

My top picks? Little Minx, Make A Move and Kiss Me You Fool. 

I think this range is really worth looking at if you're after something that will last day and night (don't we all though?). These will surely replace my NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams for the clubbing nights! The shades are limited, but hopefully that will change sooooon.

Saturday's Swatches: Ulta3 Lip Paints

It's no biggie that I've been out of the beauty blogosphere lately. Therefore, not very updated with new products.

One of the most interesting launches that I've missed are these Lip Paints by Ulta3! I had no idea they had these (for a few months now, may I add) until I stumbled across a post about them as I scrolled down my blogging feed last Monday.

I squeaaaaaaaaaaled. I never thought they'd release a range like this, so it was very unexpected for me. Especially when they are known for their nail lacquers, rather than make-up range. 

These looked promising though. From the swatches I saw, they looked great in terms of pigmentation. Knowing that they are only $5.95 a pop, I thought, "why not?!". 

So here's what it looks like...

The range consists of 6 brighter shades, but I only picked two out of the six. The other shades looked great too, but just not for my sister and I :P Therefore, we settled with these two...

Expressive Fuchsia, Radical Red

However, since I was there, I thought I'd swatch the other shades too and share them here :P Don't judge me!!!

Expressive Fuchsia, Manic Mauve, Extreme Pink, Loud Purple, Radical Red, Electric Orange

At first swatch, they remind me much of Rimmel's Apocalips Lip Lacquers, but just not as thick. I hope these Ulta3 ones will settle down a bit though, and not glide around the lips too much like the Apocalips. 

Also, I'd love to own a light pink shade, but Extreme Pink in this range is just too cool-toned. It'll look very iffy on my skin, which was the reason why I skipped it. I also really like the look of Electric Orange, but I know I won't ever wear it anywhere! 

Loud Purple, is... very loud. Purples are nice, but this one looked very.... indescribably bold. On the packaging, Manic Mauve looked like a very pretty berry colour, but when swatched, I felt like it looked too brown and dull.... Eeek. 

Therefore, I ended up only picking 2 out of the 6!

Face Of Australia Glossy Lip Crayons

Hi u. 

If you follow me on Instagram, you would've known that, after returning from Vietnam, I was greeted by a care parcel from Face Of Australia that included their latest range of Glossy Lip Crayons! 

Unfortunately, most of the products melted into the cap! Probably sat out in the sun for yonks, before my sister's boyfriend came to pick them up from my home. Must confess that I broke down a tad inside when I saw how terribly melted the products were! The wax separated from the actual product, so sad to say, but I will not be reviewing these as the formula has probably changed alot from how it's suppose to be. 

Putting that aside, the range features 7 lovely shades, ranging from neutral browns to the wearable pinks and bolds. 

Apple Crumble, Peach Parfait, Raspberry Coulis, Jam Fancy, Berry Brulee, Pie La Mode, Pecan Pie

Okay, lets get down each shade individually! 

Apple Crumble, the only red within the collection! Not sure which tone this one sides with, but the shade glided on to be fairly opaque. Love how this one contained no shimmers as opposed to some of the other ones.. 

Peach Parfait! Sounds familiar huh? Yeap. Similar to Revlon's Peach Parfait, this one also contains alot of shimmers! My lip swatch of this shade is horrrrible (but I can't help it). As you can see, there's a flake fest on ma lips with a bit of patchiness. Doesn't look too bad from afar, but you will probably never see me with this shade again! I dislike shimmery lip products so much, and the shimmers in this will never look forgivable unless my lips are in perfect condition! Huhuhu..

Forgot to mention that it's also sheerer than the other shades, so if you have pigmented lips... I'd suggest you consider this carefully!

Jam Fancy is another that you'd like to consider carefully if you have pigmented lips and/or you can't stand pearly lip products and/or your lips are flaky 99% of the time. This one is more pearly than Peach Parfait, and at the same time, is much sheerer too. Which actually means that the more you pack, the more colour you get, but at the same time... the more pearly it is. *-* 

Looks forgivable in this full face photo, but honestly not my cuppa tea! 

Raspberry Coulis reminds me alot of Revlon's Sweet Tart in terms of the coverage it offers and its glossiness, but I'm pretty sure Raspberry Coulis is just abit more warm-toned and a tad brighter. These pinks are easy to wear for me, so I will be makin' good use of this one!

Berry Brulee is probably the only shade of the collection that strucks me! You'd think it's pretty strange as I've never liked nor have I wanted to explore the world of purple lip colours. It's just too bold and daring for me.. But this shade is soooo gorgeous. It also applies wonderfully well for me. Non-patchy and opaque, with no shimmers.

Pie La Mode -- Okay, I can't really say the same for browns. I've yet to find any interest in them, but if you do, this one's quite nice. As you can see, it sits on the lips sooo nicely, is pigmented and yes, it also looks a tad matte here. The glossiness wore off because my mum was talking a tad too much to me when all I wanted was to focus on my lip swatches! Hmph!

Pecan Pie -- I know the photo is a bit warm-toned here, but hopefully you can still get the general idea! Finally found a wearable nude in gloss stick form which won't cake around the flakes of my lips too much! 

Well then, that's all 7 shades of the range! If you've noticed, yes, I've also cut my hair short. I've had long hair for the 20 years of my existence and enough is enough! No more long hair! 

But getting back on topic..

Think Pink! -- Australis Color Inject Mineral Lipstick in Honky Tonk

Another lippy that I wanted to share with you today!

If you've read my blog for a looong time now, you would've already know that Australis' Colour Inject Mineral Lipstick in Mambo was one of my very first lipstick love. Besides being a flattering nude shade on my lips, its formula is surely worthy of a mention.



I have quite a few of their Colour Inject Mineral Lipsticks (CIML) in my collection actually! Besides their limited edition shades from a few years back, the rest are mainly pink colours except one red shade. The pinks I own are called Mambo, HonkyT Tonk and Salsa. YES! All named after fab dance styles.

Honky Tonk, was one that I had high hopes for. It swatches to look sooooooooooooo pretty in store, but sad to say, I rarely reach for it. It's a warm-toned, lighter pink which is a pretty pink shade itself! The only problem I have with this is how digustingly yellow it makes my teeth look with its undertones. It's not exactly the colour's fault, but I really wished that this shade worked for me without bringing out all the yellow tones in my teeth. Sigh!

It's such a pretty and cutesy girly-pink @_@

Oh, actually, besides that, due to the bright shade, it also tends to stick around flakes a tad.

(currently trialling out a new foundation, so don't mind me! Q.Q) 

The formula is creaaaaaaaaaamy and if you haven't tried Australis' CIML before, they apply with a tad of a thick (but creamy!) feel. Lasts for a decent amount of time, is decently pigmented and affordably priced!

Argh.. I haven't shopped any Australis Cosmetics products in such a long time. I really need to hit up Priceline when I could find some time! @_@
