Lancome Star bronzer natural matte Sunkiss 02

The unique blend of mineral pigments and absorbent micro-spheres ensures a long-lasting smoothness and a perfect matte finish for your skin. Smooth and comfortable texture blends effortlessly and evenly into the skin. Does not go shiny or dull throughout the day. Skin feels silky soft and even toned.

Couple of summers ago Lancome revamped their bronzing line and introduced some matte shades to the permanent line. Great idea since you can't find a lot of completely matte bronzers on the market. I have picked out Sunkiss 02 as a lighter matte shade. I do not have much experience with matte bronzers since I always pick with at least some shimmer.
I wanted Sunkiss to use during winter months when I am pale as a ghost.

Finish is very nicely matte, not flat matte, and very natural looking. Color does not fade throughout the day and it does not oxidize. Texture is very soft, powder is finely milled and it blends nicely. Color is so light that it would work even on the lightest porcelain skin. You can't really overdo it. It also makes it perfect for someone who has never used bronzers before. I do not think that this would really show up on medium or dark skin tones (clearly), but for fair and light skin tones -warm, cool or neutral this would work very nicely.

As opposed to most of the Lancome products, or any French product this is fragrance free. Great if you are sensitive to fragrance in cosmetic products. Also it has SPF15 to provide at least some sun protection.  It has Vitamin E which should moisturize skin.

Packaging is absolutely beautiful  both outside and inside. I had such a hard time trying to capture the rose on the outside of the packaging, it can be seen depending on the light.
I love the embossed roses on the powder too <3  Packaging is sleek and thin, very purse friendly. It also has magnetic snap closure and pretty big mirror. I am glad they did not include useless brush.

L-R - heavy swatch, blended

Product has 13gr and retails for 35$ which is decent price/amount of product value especially compared to other high end bronzers that are mostly 50$ and up.

Jason Wu for Lancome Vernis in Love Fuchsia Veneer 390B

Jason Wu for Lancome pre fall collection was recently launched and has unfortunately just one nail polish. Last time when Lancome and Jason Wu made colaboration it included three nail polishes that I reviewed here. Those three were absolutely beautiful feminine shades with amazing formulas. New color Fuchsia Veneer does not  disappoint either. Formula is creamy, with perfect thicknes and applies easily. I got full coverage with two coats. It dries to a nice shiny finish without topcoat needed. I wish this collection came with more nail polishes :( Color is oficially fuschia but in real it seems darker, more like a red wine color especially indoors.

Lancome vernis in love Fuschia Veneer is limited edition and retails for 15$

Jason Wu for Lancome pre fall collection

This is the second time that Jason Wu and Lancome are collaborating and this time pieces are even more beautiful than the first time. My favorites from the previous collection were nail polishes. This time accent is definitely on eyeshadow palettes and new blush/highlighter duos.  I have to admit this collection also has beautiful lipsticks.

I am terribly drawn to this peachy pink blush and highlighter combo.

The only thing I purchased is Vernis in love. I can't wait to swatch it!

This is one of Daria's best shots ever. I am loving the eyeliner. I am wondering is it the atlantic blue Artliner included in this collection?

Lancôme Bi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover

Double-phase, fresh-as-water liquid eye makeup remover. Activates when shaken to gently whisk away even waterproof eye makeup, while conditioning and refreshing the skin. Ideal for sensitive skin and contact lens wearers. Leaves eyes feeling cool and relaxed, with no oily residue. Ophthalmologist tested for safety.

Winner of Allure magazine's 'Best of Beauty' Award.

I am sitting here trying to figure out what to write about Bifacil that has not been written or said already. It is one of those products on the market that is holy grail material. Simply perfection. I am not easily impressed or I do not fall for the hype but dang.... this magic in the bottle is worth all the hype!

First let me say price tag of 28$ is not easy to swallow. I refused for a while to pay that much for eye makeup remover since I did find some similar ones on the market for around 5$ (neutrogena, loreal...). Price is probably the only downside of this product. It comes in 4.2 oz or 125ml bottle . Recently they released bigger size 6.7oz or 200ml for 38$. If used daily smaller bottle can last a month, maybe slightly longer.

It is really small amount needed to remove everything. When I say everything I really mean every single trace of super waterproof makeup. My eye makeup can be heavy - primer, couple of eyeshadows, glitter, waterproof eyeliner, eyebrow pencil, mascara primer, couple of coats of mascara... To remove something like this I need heavy duty stuff like Bifacil.

Since it's a dual phase product it needs to be shaken well. Then I apply small amount on cotton pad and gently press it onto my eye area. I do not ever rub. There is no need for rubbing. I like to leave it for about 10 seconds to let it melt all my makeup.

It does not sting eyes nor it leaves blurry vision. Often that happens with oil based eye makeup removers. Lancome states that this is safe for sensitive eyes and contact lenses wearers. Since I do not have sensitive eyes nor I wear lenses I can't really speak of this.

It does leave slightly oily film but I always rinse my eyes with lukewarm water after using it.

Main reason why I switched from the cheaper eye makeup removers even though they were very effective is that they were TERRIBLY drying out my eye are. I already have dry skin around eyes and this was making things even worse. My skin would itch and no matter how much eye cream I would apply would still feel dry.

Bifacil in action! I applied eyeshadow primer, Stila liquid eyeliner (one of the longest wearing on the market), Urban Decay  creme eyeshadow, Nars powder shadows, Lancome eye khol, MAC creme eyeshadow and eyeliner...

I held the cotton ball on my hand not longer than 5 seconds and this is how much it removed in one swipe.

You can clearly see two phases in the photo below.

Overall this became my holy grail and staple in my skincare. Yes it is pricey but nothing beats it's effectiveness while being gentle on the skin.

Lancome Color Design Palette in Plum Splendor review, photos, swatches

Infinitely luminous. Sensationally smooth. All-in-one 5 shadow palette to brighten eyes.

Lancôme’s versatile, all-in-one palette conveniently creates a full eye look for day or night.

Experience the newest generation of luminosity as silky lustrous powders transparently wrap the skin, allowing a seamless layering of pure color for a silky sheen and radiant finish.

Build with absolute precision and apply the shades in 5 simple steps (all over, lid, crease, highlighter and liner) to design your customized eye look. Contour, sculpt and lift in soft day colors or intensify with dramatic evening hues for smoldering smoky effects.

Long wear, 8-hour formula.
Color does not fade, continues to stay true.

Purple eyeshadows are one of my favorites both cool and warm toned ones. I prefer shimmery purple shades more than matte ones (easier to work with) and that's why I was very pleased with this palette. It contains enough both warm and cool toned purples and plums , soft enough for day but shimmery and bright enough to be worn as night time/going out makeup.

Nice thing about these Lancome palettes is that it comes with a little booklet/ guide on how to apply eyeshadows and how to achieve certain looks as well as clear plastic cover over the eyeshadows that clearly mark which color goes where.

All over base color is pearly soft pink. It's mostly satin , leaning to matte and has decent enough pigment to cover the lid or for eyebrow highlight.

Lid color is shimmery smokey plum. This one is probably the most unique color in the palette. It is warm plum with the golden shimmer.

Crease color is shimmery purple grey. It is more cool toned and has great pigment. Blends very nicely and it probably has the smoothest texture in the palette.

Highlighter color is shimmery light purple, more of a lavender color. I am not sure I would really use this as a highlighter but it can be nice in the inner corner of the eye, or all over the eyelid if you want softer lighter look.

Eyeliner color is matte black that's super pigmented and almost creamy. Very soft and smooth texture. This doesn't really have to be used only as an eyeliner color, I would gladly use it in the outer corner to make the whole look a little bit darker.

Clearly this guide on color placement doesn't mean you can't use and place eyeshadows where you prefer. But it's a nice guide for beginners. Many many women do not know where and how to apply eyeshadows. You would be surprised how many. I often here "Oh I love this palette but I wouldn't know how to use it."

Lancome Creme Radiance Clarifying Cream-to-Foam Cleanser

A Luxurious Balance of Science and Nature: Reveal Purified, Pampered Skin.

This gentle cream-to-foam cleanser with antioxidant White Lotus and soothing Rose de France penetrates deep into the pores without over-drying to gently remove makeup, even waterproof, dissolve impurities and purify the skin.

Massage over wet face and throat. Rinse with lukewarm water. Follow with Tonique Radiance for clarified and luminous skin.

I discovered Creme radiance about two years ago and I am surprised I still have not reviewed this gem. It often comes as Lancome's gwp in really decent 2 oz /60ml size so I had plenty of time to use it and test it before I got full sized bottle. Full size is actually 125ml and lasted me about 10 months. When I ran out I got bigger size 6.8 oz or 200ml. I wonder how long this will last me since a little goes a long way, less than a pea size for the whole face.

Creme radiance is cream to foam cleanser made for normal/combination skin. I can easily say this would work for any skin type - even for dry skin since it does not dry skin out at all but it cleans so well that it can weark wonderful for combo/oily skin as well.

It has very interesting texture - very thick, creamy but sticky and gooey - which is not bad in this case but it's just unusual. It spreads between fingers like a bubble gum. When rubbed into the skin it spreads very easily and foams up right away. Because of it's unique texture you need tiny bit only. What I love most about it is that worsk wonders when combined with Clarisonic. If you have Clarisonic already maybe you noticed that not every cleanser worsk well with it. The ones that are gentle, creamy but foam up well are the best to be used with Clarisonic.

If you do not have Clarisonic this works great on it's own.

Another thing I love about Creme radiance is that it really leaves skin looking radiant. Glowy, healthy looking, feeling soft, cleaned but not stripped. I like to demonstrate this on my customer's hands - I would use creme radiance on top of their hand and then would show them how skin immediately looks so much more radiant and different than the dull skin on their other hand.

I like to follow with Tonique radiance but it works well with Tonique confort as well. I like to rotate actually. On days when I feel my skin needs more moisture I would use Tonique confort (or when I do not wear makeup) but on days when I wear heavy makeup for 8+ hours I need Tonique radiance for that super clean feeling.

Scent is floral but soft, and evaporates as soon as you wash it off.

I HIGHLY recommend checking out Creme radiance . It is one of the best Lancome products in their whole range and I can easily say one of the best cleansers on the market.
