Big W Haul: 15 products for $11.85!

**THIS SALE IS STILL ON UNTIL 5 NOV 2014**

HEY.

Your bargain queen is striking back today with a wonderful haul post. Short, sweet and stingy haul post!

The moment Amy from Bottled Beauty spilled about the to-be-on-sale deals at Big W, I knew exactly what I wanted to get. Yeap.

Every single time FOA does $4 off, my automatic go-to's are their Make-Up Remover Wipes and nail polishes. Drops down to 50c-$1 per packet of wipes and less than $2 for their nail lacquers. Unfortunately, there were none left at the Big W that I visited... urgh.

I was SO surprised to see lacquers or their nail collection dropping down to 75c though! FOA has always sent me their nail lacquers, but I cleared the shelf anyways. These 5 will go to my friend in Singapore (who's a nail fanatic) and the other 4 will go to my Uni friends since we're having our final exam next week and I won't see them until next year! Aaaaaaaaaaa.

Sharpeners -- My one broke, and these dropped down to... 75c? Or 95c. I forgot, but so cheap! I picked up 3 which should last my sister and I for a while!

Maybelline was also having $4 OFF, and I think most people miss this... but their Express Make-Up Remover.... originally retails for $4.95... So.... away I hauled, the 3 remaining bottles for less than $1!

The girl who worked at Big W didn't even realise that these products dropped down to be so cheap! Hahahaha.

Works for me though.

If you're gonna hit up these sales, I highly recommend:
  • FOA Lip Liners (~$2)
  • FOA Nail Polishes (~$2)
  • FOA Lip Paints, review here > (~$3)
  • FOA Sharpeners (~$1)
  • FOA Wipes (~$1)
  • FOA Liquid Eyeliner, review here > (~$6)
  • Maybelline Express Make-Up Removers (~$1)
  • Maybelline Nail Polishes (~$2)
  • Australis Wipes (~$2)

Let me know, let me know!

Priceline 40% OFF Haul + [INT] GIVEAWAY!

It's a late, late haul, I know. But nay, I did not go all-out-hoarder like most other beauty fanatics! Besides the fact that I barely had any moola on hand, it was also because I've finally came down to the conclusion that I have soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much to finish off. Urgh.

Just the idea of that, stresses me out!

So for this time's 40% off sale (I was in Melbourne), I've only picked up a handful of things.

Da-da-dum-dum!

BE lipstick ($1.80/$3 RRP)
Not that I needed another pink lippy, but hey! They'd never have sales on these, and it was only $1.80! Yap, that's my justification.

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner ($8.37/$13.95 RRP)
Baddest eyeliner out there (in a good way), this one! Super black, long-lasting, easy to use, doesn't dry out after a few uses AND it's less than $10 after the sale! Mine was running out so this was a necessity.

Australis Velourlips ($5.97/$9.95 RRP)
Been lusting over these for yonks now... Not gonna find a sale better than these, so.. Yap. I reached for the shades that's not too familiar in my collection -- Rio-d & Ho-chee-min. Funky, bright coral and a light, light pink!

essence Lip Liner in Wish Me a Rose ($1.20/$2 RRP)
Posted about this here. Beautiful shade, and formula is extremely creamy.

OK. Important pieces that were "must-haves". THESE:

These Models Prefer packs ($12/$20 RRP) are as is. I've purchased one to split to my group of friends as stocking stuffers, and the OTHER one is for YOU!

Well, not for every one of you'se (sorry, I wish I could), but for the one who wins this giveaway!

New brand: Colour Theory HAUL!

Hellooooooooo.

OK. Had my last exam a bit more than a week ago. Typical me, never studied the night before. Instead, spent it prancing around online, catching up on one of my favourite blogs, Kitsch Snitch by Kat.

She has a post here, which featured a new budget brand called Colour Theory. Have anyone ever heard, or tried?

I've always received emails about Colour Theory, but never really cared for them. I'm biased and picky, especially against brands that are not stocked at department stores or chemists which are easy to access, such as Priceline and Big W.

Reading Kat's post on the brand sparked a few interests in me, so off I went to check which stores stocked em.

..
...
....
!

WHAT?!
Only two pharmacies stock Colour Theory?!
...And the first pharmacy has NO stockists near me. Okay, let's check the second pharmacy.. although it sounds completely alien to me.

The second pharmacy didn't have a stockist near me neither. BUT, it has a stockist near where I was heading to the NEXT day. Yeap. It was opposite of my university, Amcal Pharmacy. Good stuff!

Headed there after my exam in the evening, picked up a few new products. Here they are:

Colour Theory Bronzer Summer Sun ($8/3 shades)
Saw this in three shades. They had a good shade range though. One cool-toned, one warm-toned and one which was darker than both, but also more neutral (the one I chose).

Colour Theory Lipsticks ($6)
Wide shade range, this one. I chose Fuchsia Frenzy and Pouty Pink. Fuchsia Frenzy for the finish, it was the mattest (although still somewhat glossy) and Pouty Pink for its easy to wear colour. Hoping to update you soon since I already have a slight impression of how it is.

Colour Theory Eyeliner ($4)
You're probably wondering why the hell did I choose blue. Well, I didn't really expect this colour to be as bright as it is. I expected to be like a dark navy liner, to make my eye colour stand out.. in which I was wrong. Double liner is probably the way to go, to make use of this. Zzz.

But yeah, that's all for the haul. Cheap and affordable brand. Reminds me a lot of Ulta3 and essence. Still trialling around, so not much to say about the quality yet.

In case you're feeling keen on the brand, here is the link to their website which also includes their store locator!

OH! And here's a snap of me wearing Fuchsia Frenzy.. (^_^)/

Cya later alligator.

Beauty HAUL from Vietnam!

I haven't been on a plane flight for yonks, so flying an eight hours plan flight to and from Vietnam definitely tired me. And the thought of being restless (and lonely) on New Years Eve made me even more sad *sigh

But you know what else tires me?!

The make-up that I've hauled back from Vietnam!! Yes, never thought I'd give Vietnam make-up a go, especially when their Maybelline was still more expensive than that those I could get from the markets. But besides that, I found many other brands for dirt cheap price tags!

Looking at the stash tires me though, I have no idea where to fit these new blushers, lipsticks and lip liners, but... Not gonna lie, I'm so damn excited!

  • Vacosi Blushers -- I actually bought one shade to trial first. Impressively pigmented at its price (80,000VND) so I went back and purchased the remaining 2 shades! It's labelled as "Made in Korean", but marketed in Vietnam, I think!
  • VOV (a drugstore Korean brand, I believe) Rose Lady Cover Foundation -- My sister and I bought two of these since it's quite handy for highlighting, concealing and sculpting the face.
  • mik@vonk Deep Black Liquid Eyeliner -- We bought about three of these for its deep and dark pigmentation. Can't remember the price, but it was fairly cheap.
  • Shiseido Refining Makeup Primer Base -- Pretty much our first Shiseido product ever! My sister chose this after spotting it. A tad more expensive than others, if I could remember correctly. Would've convert to about $7~$8 in AUD.
  • Vacosi Eye Lash Curler -- Cheap!! 28,000VND which is approximately $2 here in AUD.
  • Maybelline Hyper Glossy Liquid Eyeliner -- I have this at home already, see that it's about half price in Vietnam... I don't see why not! Hue.

dem lipsticks *-*

Yes!! You guys know I'm still not ready for eyeshadows, so all I really purchased were ALOT of lip products. Here are the lipsticks I bought by a Korean drugstore brands and MAC.

I tried my best to distinguish between fake and genuine MAC with my limited MAC knowledge... (never used MAC lipsticks before). I'm 70% sure they are same in terms of packaging, and 99% sure they are all genuine in terms of formula. I've used these and they are exactly what MAC lipsticks are described to be -- pigmented, damn long lasting with a yummy scent. They were expensive though... 400,000VND per lipstick *-*

Oh oh! And the top gloss sticks are by a Korean brand, called "3 Concept Eyes". I've used one of the shades, and I'd have to say they are pretty good! Looking forward to trying out the other shades too ^-^

Then, there were lip liners!

I actually still don't have too many lip liners in my stash, so I decided to pick some up! These were cheapies, cheaper than a banh bao (pork bun). The pink colour by INTER-COLOR has been my faveeeee. It's a cute summery pink with a spice of coral. Loveeeee!

That's ALL for my haul *so far* from one of the two stores I visited in Vietnam. In case anyone is interested, I'll list the store details here:

Shop Ha`
664/19-21 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, P.3, Q.3, TP.HCM (Cho Ban Co)
Tel: (08) 3839 0336 - 2241 3341
Fax: (08) 3830 3227

It's a must-visit store for every beauty junkies out there! They cater from higher end brands to lower end brands, and Korean brands too. From hair to make-up and nails... They also had Bath & Body there, along with some Victoria Secret sprays, YSL, Estee Lauder, Dior and more!

I've still got one more haul from another beauty store I visited, so please stay tuna'd! ;)

Priceline 40% OFF Haul

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Priceline had a 40% OFF sale on all cosmetics earlier this week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. Sorry for all who've missed out (hopefully none of you did), but for those who knew of the sale, tell me.. what did you hoard!?

The night before the sale, my sister actually told me it was going to happen tomorrow. I wasn't pumped AT ALL, to be honest. I didn't really look forward to purchasing any more products, nor did I look forward to spend any more money on unnecessities. However, the question still remains:

Did I, or did I not?!

Of course I did! T~T
Besides the title of this post giving it away, if you know me well, then this should come to you with no surprise. Hmph!

Ok... now onto what I bought!

For Priceline's kickass 40% off sales, the first brands I look at are actually essence and Savvy by DB. Mainly, because they rarely have sales, and not to mention that their products are already quite cheap, so a further 40% off will drop their price down to less than a penny............ K, maybe not that less, but still!

Hit up essence, and saw this range of lippies that I've never seen before. Picked up 5 out of the 7-8 shades! They were only $4.10 each (RRP), so they costed around $2.50 per lippy. I don't like their other regular range (packaged in red tube), so I just skipped those.

Yessssssss. Also some of these eyeliners. Pray that they actually will last. Costed around $1.50 per eyeliner only! I went back the next day to check if they have a navy blue colour, but all gone!

Huehue. Nail polishes!! That's What I Mint and The Boy Next Door by essence. Dirt cheap. I actually have a candy blue colour by essence at home already, and it's ALSO named as "The Boy Next Door". Eeeeep. what's going on here?!

Besides that fuss, my sweet mother also showed me this lilac colour (Grape Jelly by Savvy by DB) that "you should get". Sneaky mumma has always loved lilacs, so this one's for her! ^-^

....And of course, I couldn't pass up these Face Of Australia Carnivale Nail Lacquers! I felt kinda bummed when I didn't see them at the FOA stand, but I'm glad I found them on the top shelf, next to the stand! I picked up the remaining four colours that I didn't have from my previous swatch post.

I shall play and swatch them soon! Promise!!

As for now, back to dramas and being a couch potato in this gloomy, rainy Sydney weather! :P

Think Pink! -- A small pink [market] haul!

Tell me guys! What is the first brand that hits your mind when the colour pink is mentioned! Is it not Australis? :P

For me, Australis is the first brand that comes to mind when I first started this Think Pink! project, but sadly, I don't think you'd be able to handle my continuous raves over the brand, so nah.

Anyways, I haven't updated you with my market hauls in a looooooooooooong time! Have I stopped? Nope. I've just been lazy so they're sitting in bags at the corner of my room (again!). Let's start off with the smallest bag though.

Most are Australis products, I'm not too sure where the girl was getting her Australis products from, but all I know was that she had quite a few at her stall each week. I've passed the other day and just had to pick up a few items that she was selling, as they were cheap and were products that I've finished, but have yet to repurchase. Yes, I'm forever waiting for sales x-x. Wait untill they discontinue and I still won't buy unless there's a sale LOL.

Didn't purchase too many items from her, but still spent a whopping $25. $25 is a lot of money at the markets, okay? Considering that things are usually so cheap.

My second eyeshadow primer! I can finally dispose my first tube and finally stop trying so hard to scoop out all the last bits. It lasted me a fair while as I've only ever used it as a base for my eyeliners! Purchased this for $4?

Also finally repurchased Australis Make-Up Finishing Spritz! I haven't used this in yonks and no, I don't use it as a finish make-up spray! I actually use it to blend in some of my liquid foundations. Dot foundation on face, spritz spray onto brush and then blend away! I've purchased this for $4 or $5, can't really remember x_x

Yoshhhhhhhh, a bunch of their Lash & Brow Extenders, because they were so cheap! Only $2 per! I'm nowhere near finishing my first one that I use as a brow gel, but having these for back-ups wouldn't hurt. Or maybe one day when I understand the point of using a clear mascara. Eeek.

Last, but not least! Australis' Kiss Me Quick Lip Pencils. I have their Nudie Rudie shade, and although I'm not very impressed with the formula, these were must-purchases because they were also only $2 each!!!

I still have another market haul, but that is all I've purchased for last week! I will make sure to update on the other haul some time soon! ^-^

Oooooo, tomorrow is also Halloween! Wishing you all a safe and happy Halloween everyone! ^-^
