Drugstore Beauty Launches for Australia -- October 2014

HI you cutie patooties. Gah, things haven't been going too well for me in the past fewer days (some personal problems). So much that I've decided to put my reports and assessments on hold. Seriously no motivation.

But I thought I'd focus on something different rather than laying in bed, melting away in this 30 degrees Sydney weather (love it!). So here's this month's launch post! Not on the 10th, or 15th! Actually on time... Ok. Somewhat, the 3rd isn't too bad.

Innoxa Skin Perfecting CC Primer ($24.95)

Helps to conceal redness, bright dull skin and minimise the appearance of skin discolourations. Formulated with micro-fine pearls to luminise the skin, they said, so I'm gonna assume the product will be pearly. Ah, stuff like this never works for my skin, whether used as a base or worn alone (this one says you can wear it alone). Ditto, anyone?

Australis Mix It Colour Correcting Foundation ($15.95)
As we all know, yellow, purple and green pigments are the three main colour-based correctors when it comes down to perfecting the skin. I've read the description of this new water-based foundation range by Australis over and over, and I'm just not getting it.

Says "Mix it", but there are 4 similar shades of foundation. Not sure if the 3 pigments are infused in the foundation's formula, or they are actually available in solo yellow, mauve and green. Either way, doesn't sound too appealing to me. Pass!

Australis AC ON TOUR Contour & Highlighting Kit ($16.95)
Looking pretty promising this one... It's a highlighting and contouring kit. Trio of highlighting shades and contouring shades as you can see! I'm sure we all know what to do with these shades, so I'll cut it short. There's no OTT claims for this, so that's good.

Sally Hansen Spring Racing Colour Collection ($9.95)
A new range in collaboration with Kate Waterhouse. SH fans will notice that the raneg is $9.95, instead of its usual pricing, which is $14.95.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Full Coverage 25 Hour Foundation ($17.95/7 shades)
Rimmel decided to take it up a notch this month, with their new 25-hour lasting foundation. Hahahha. A"comfort serum" is also embedded in the formula. It claims to:

Provide instant perfect coverage that feels comfortable and lasts all day
Blends flawlessly, seamlessly, instantly and easily
Sweat, heat, humidity and transfer proof for up to 25 hours

Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer ($?)
Up to 8 hours extended make-up wear, according to Rimmel. Has a skin perfecting formula, visibly blurs and minimises pores and imperfections. Skin will look instantly smoother and appear brightened.

Short launch list this month, so I thought I'd add in some skincare products!

Nivea In-Shower Body Lotion ($6.50/2)
In-shower body lotions. Pretty straight forward! There's two scents to this range -- Honey Indulging and Cocoa Indulging.

Cetaphil Suntivity SPF50+ Ultra-Light Lotion ($20.95/100mL)
Hoorray for all the sunscreen-junkies! SPF50+ sunscreen. I've been so out of the beauty blogosphere lately, I'm not sure if this is the first one (probably not) to launch with SPF50+ or not. Whether yes or no, it's still one to celebrate for, methinks!

Non-greasy, 4 hour water resistant, oil-free, fragrance and paraben free are some good stuff I've picked from the list of description about this!

Sukin Calming Night Cream ($19.95/120mL)
Claims to soften and soothes the complexion overnight. Sounds exactly like what I need. The cream has been formulated with actives of cucumber, chamomile and aloe vera to soften the skin.

Sukin Moisture Rich Body Creme ($14.95/250mL)
A moisturising body cream that features a fragrance of orange, lavendar and vanilla (sounds yum!) complemented by myrtle and lime. Formula with cocoa butter, shea butter, sesame and jojoba to hydrate. Rose hip oil and aloe vera too, for a bunch of other basic-moisturizing claims. Zzzz..

Drugstore Cosmetics Launches for Australia -- May 2014

Hello wello, HAH! Not late for this month, how unexpected, right?

Skipping my uni work for this post, so of course it won't be late....! There are not many launches this month though... Sadly.

Ulta3 CC Cream ($8.95/2 shades)

BAM! Ulta3 with their newest product, a CC cream. Ulta3 has always been a well-loved brand for their nail polishes. Their make-up? Not so much. Strange (and a bit shocking) to know that they've introduced a CC Cream, as CC creams are generally new to the Aussie market. Wonder whether they'll nail (#punny yo) this one, or whether it would just be another CC tinted moisturiser?

Ulta3 describes this to be, a complexion correction cream that helps to correct colour-related skin issues. Has a foundation-like coverage, and is buildable. Also protects the skin against sun damage.

Ulta3 Speckled Nail Polish ($3/6 shades)

This was released last month, and I believe, has already made a big hit on many beauty blogs. Limited edition collection which features fine black pepper particles and large matte glitter pieces on pastel-coloured bases. I really like the idea of this since trying by Illamasqua. Too bad I couldn't find it at my local Ulta3 stockists.. Bummer!

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Colour Vibrations Glitter Mania Collection ($6.95/8-9 shades)*

I'm actually not too sure how many shades are released in Australia for this collection, but the whole collection consists of 8-9 shades. The price, I've gathered from Chemist Warehouse's catalogue. They are $4.95 RIGHT NOW (save $1.96), so get them now on sale while you can!

What they look like, apparently.

"Pretty" would be an understatement to describe how they look. Gaaaaaahhhhhh.

Physician's Formula

I've said last month, that it seems that PF is just continuously releasing similar products over and over again. Here's your quarterly doze, I guess...

Nude Wear Glowing Nude Blush ($21.95) -- A "perfect blend of complexion-boosting blush tones to brighten and enhance the skin tone" whilst adding a touch of radiant colour.
Nude Wear Glowing Nude Powder ($29.95) -- Provides weightless coverage, and features a multi-coloured paeltte of nudes...... Not sure how I'm suppose to use this as a "powder" actually. Four shades of nudes o_o
Nude Wear Glowing Nude Bronzer ($29.95) -- Features a "complexion boosting multi-coloured palette of bronze hues" for the most natural looking healthy bronze flow.

Not sure about the products, I don't want to be too biased against them. Their prices are ridiculously high that I may as well remove their brand from these posts to be honest. Not very "drugstore", ya know?

Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin FakeOut Mascara ($24.95)

"Made from 100% natural origin lash extension fibers", whatever it means, this mascara is supposed to lengthen, amplify and curl the lashes for an "unbelievable 3D effect".

Lashes naturally appear thicker, longer and more lush and gorgeous for up to "24 hours".

Meh meh meh!!

Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin CC Colour + Correction Cream ($25.95) -- CC cream with a "ground-breaking" formula that features 70% of organic ingredients. Corrects + cares for the skin, in a lightweight formula which blends effortlessly. Evens out the skin with radiance. Lasts all day.... they say.
Organic Wear 100% Natural Origin CC Curl + Care Mascara ($24.95) -- What. The. Heck? CC mascara. Contains 70% organic ingredients, curls and volumises the lashes. All day wear. But still, what the heck? WHAT IS A CC MASCARA.

NP Set Contour & Define Cream On The Go ($27/3 shades)

One of those products that is supposed to conceal and even out the skin tone, but added to that, NP Se describes that it's also suppose to "define and lift [our] natural contours". It's a lightweight cream formulated with some fancy vitamins and antioxidants. No idea why the packaging says C+D Cream though.

Designer Brands

Extend a Brow ($12.99/2 shades) -- Silly name, but the product doesn't seem too bad! It's a brush-on brow enhancer, with a "silky-fibre formula". Provides a fuller and more defined look.
Quick Dry Nail Polish ($7.99/20 shades) -- A high gloss nail lacquer that touch dries in 30 seconds. Features a precision brush that ensures streak-free application.

The Physician's Formula products don't interest me too much, so skipping right pass them. Definitely gonna hunt down Ulta3's Speckled Nail Collection though, and heading to Chemist Warehouse soon to check out sales on Sally Hansen's glitter-babies!

Sally Hansen Sugar Coat Nail Polish in Razzleberry

Another nail post!

Since I've returned from Vietnam, I've been sleeping til 4pm every single day, so I haven't been able to trial alot of the make-up that I've bought (sadly). I've only been using nail polishes, so expect more nail posts!

Also, not to mention that I've also purchased alooooooot of nail polishes from Vietnam! A haul post will be up soon.. ^-^ However! I guess the amount of nail polishes purchased from Vietnam is just not enough... for my sister. About two days after returning from Vietnam, my sister dropped down to Priceline and decided to purchase [about] 5 shades of Sally Hansen's Sugar Coat range, a range of sandy-textured lacquers.

Or, maybe she's just became a hoarder like me! You can say that she have learnt from the best (or maybe the "worst", in this case), I guess...

This one here, Razzleberry, is a medium-toned blue. The bottle instructs "Apply 2 thin coats", but I still prefer 3 coats, so that the "sugar" or sandy bits can be even all over the nail.

Don't get me wrooong! The formula applies really smooth, but with sandy-finished lacquers, I always like to make sure the whole nail covered in even texture :P

I do have a good impression of the blue shade, but I absolutely hate how hard it is to remove these sandy-textured lacquers, despite using PVA glue as a peel off base. I'd still find myself running around the house looking for nail polish remover to remove this completely. Grrr. I guess it's all up to you to decide whetehr it's worth it or not.

I really liked sandy-textured lacquers the first time I had them, but I think I'm just getting over this trend >_<

Overall, pretty colour, and not a bad range! I still have a few more shades to go through, including a white one, which is preeeeeetty exciting! I can imagine pairing that white one with some cute pastel colours for nail art. *-*

But if I could remember correctly, I always imagine only, since things just never work out -.-" We'll just have to see how my nail art skills go, I think! :P

I've still yet to see what other shades there are, but I'm hoping my sister picked out some nice shades (since she has a pretty bad taste, but please don't tell her that... *rolls eye* hehe).

Finally back to regular blog posts! Of course, starting off with nail colours to get myself back in blogging mood!

I'm not too sure when this nail colour came abouts to my collection. I'm actually not sure if it's mine at all, as I don't remember purchasing this from the markets, and I have never ever purchased any Sally Hansen nail lacquers from the stores!

Sally Hansen Lustre Shine Nail Lacquers actually doesn't retail for that much... not as much as I thought they would anyways. They're only $9.95 in stores, with occasional sales. But really, even with 50% OFF, I'd still give this range a second thought! As nice as these look in the bottle, I'm not too sure if duochromatics are really my thang.

This particular shade I have called 'Scarab', is... er... what it is.... Give me a break guys! I struggle to describe basic cream colours, so let alone duochromatics!

I actually don't think I'd ever touch this shade if it wasn't for my sister. She was just casually posting her nail photos on Instagram, which popped up on my feed! Yes! She has a nail Instagram, her handle is @bailmynails. She described the colour to be "disappointing", but I don't think so! Do you?

Yes, it photographs to look somewhat streaky, but hey! Isn't that just within the nature of foily duochromes? Not to mention that you can barely see it in real!

As for the formula, it's quite thin, but still remains to be impressively pigmented. Two coats is enough, but three coats for a fuller opacity! The brush looks like this...

Squared, but easy to use for my square shaped nails. However, for its long-lasting power, it's sad to say, but I actually have no idea! I never apply nail lacquers directly to my nails anymore. I always use a peel-off base coat, so it wouldn't be fair for me to comment upon how long it lasts, right?!

Have you tried Sally Hansen's Lustre Shine range?

I'm aware that Sally Hansen has came out with a few new hyped ranges recently, such as their Fuzzy Coat range and Sugar Coat range~ I do have a few shades of their Fuzzy Coat range, but I've still yet to post about them as I don't know how to coordinate the colours nicely. Other bloggers' swatches looks soooo nice, and then there's mine... meh.

I'm not the most creative person, so give me about ten more years. I'm sure I'll find a nice colour combination by then! :P

Drugstore Cosmetics Launches for Australia -- November 2013

Hi everyone! Sorry for the late post this month. For anyone who follows my YouTube channel, I probably won't be able to make a video this month! Huhu! I have the baddest sore throat and still feelin' hot and cold at the moment. I'm a little sick goose.

Face Of Australia Sheer Gloss Lip Crayons ($14.95/7 shades)
Hello wello cello! It seems like every brand is hopping onto releasing lip crayons at the moment! According to Face Of Australia, these lip crayons:

Glides on smoothly
Provides sheer gloss colour
Have a moisturising and non-sticky formula
Have a vanilla scent

I love vanilla scented products!! We'll see how this goes! The colour range looks nice too, as it seems to cover all back-to-basic shades.

Natio Smoothie Lip Colour Crayons ($12.95/8 shades)

See! I told you! Then there's also Natio with their new range of lip crayons, but unlike FOA's, these lip crayons promises rich colour payoff!

Chi Chi Baked Eyeshadows ($14.95/24 shades)

Baked eyeshadow singles for all you Chi Chi lovers! Chi Chi describes their baked eyeshadows to be "smooth, long-lasting and highly pigmented". Formulated without parabens and is designed to be applied wet or dry! Available in so many shades too!

Covergirl Ink It! Eyeliner ($12.94/4 shades)

Finally a Covergirl product (besides their lip products) that actually looks enabling! These eyeliners are described to be waterproof, highly pigmented and fade-proof and crease-proof for up to 12 hours!

Australis Veleourlips Matte Cream ($9.95/5 shades)

These only launched recently, but I'm sure you've heard about these all over Insta! Deemed to be highly pigmented, long-lasting and also comes with the mattest finish that one can have without the flaky-business!

L'Oreal Paris SuperLiner Blackbuster Eyeliner ($16.95/1 shade)
This one, is a marker-pen eyeliner that offers a "thick liner technique". The eyeliner is formulated to glide on the eye smoothly, lasting for eight hours. Easy to remove! I've seen swatches and it looks extremely black!

L'Oreal Paris Luminosity Code BB Cream ($29.95/2 shades)
Dubbed as "the first illuminating BB Cream that evens skin tone and covers imperfections", this new BB cream is a combination of the best skincare and cosmetics technology! It has a light and luxurious formula that instantly melts into the skin, whilst keeping the skin moisturised for 24 hours and protecting it from UV rays. Of course, leaves it with a fresh and flawless luminous finish.

LACURA Beauty Colour Sticks ($6.99/2pk)
I've never ever featured this brand on my blog.... I don't think! But in case you're not aware of Lacura, it is Aldi's very own beauty brand. I've heard about SOME of their beauty products (including skincare products), but these products are newly launched. I've only known from their latest catalog, so I have absolutely NO information about these, except for its price and that it comes in a pack of 2 colours! A snippet of their catalogue...

Chi Chi's New Viva La Diva Lipstick Shades ($18.95/6 NEW shades)
Okay, with their usual richly coloured and long-wearing formula, Chi Chi has now added 6 new shades to their existing range of 36 shades. Here are a few photos.... (I can't locate their press images!).

Sportsgirl Pucker Up Lip Crayons ($8.95/3 shades)
Eeeee! More lip crayons, but by Sportsgirl this time around... I'm not 100% sure why I have no info on these... On Sportsgirl's website, they are just described to be "long wearing matte lip crayons" @_@!

I LOVE their 'Fruit Tingle' Pout About It Lipstick... I'd like to try out their lip crayon named after the same shade... Huhuhuhu.
