Worn alone or together, all Duo Eyeshadow shades feature micro-fine powders that are highly pigmented, longwearing and crease resistant. Color glides on smoothly, evenly and blends effortlessly. The effects can be subtle or smoldering -- the options are endless.

François' Insight
I try to take an unusual approach with the Duo Eyeshadows -- sometimes surprising, always interesting. The colors won't necessarily match in a traditional sense, but they will always make you think; always make you want to explore the different ways of using the two shades together
Well all the hunt for it was well worth it! This is one of the best duos that NARS ever released.
Lighter shade is silky cashmere gold with a touch of a bronze and darker shade is dark charcoal gray that has green undertone. I've read some reviews that describe darker shade as blue or navy but I do not see any blue in it at all.
Both shades are incredibly pigmented and smooth. Both are very easy to apply and blend. Colors are buildable and you can definitely create both daytime and nighttime looks with this palette.
I have two complaints about this palette:
- It's not part of the permanent range. BUT Nars is great when it comes to limited edition items. They are available for a long time - months after release and they never sell out in a lightning speed (I am talking to you MAC!). So you have enough time to take a look at the products, figure out what you like and need before purchasing. You are not rushed into buying something just because it's LE and will sell out super fast. Love that about NARS!
- I wish lighter shade is a tad lighter. I feel like I needed to add another lighter eyeshadow for highlighting. With duo shadows I like to use only those two shades. But that's just personal preference.
