Usually I am not a big fan of light pastel shades and especially if they are not creme finish and opaque. Wedding day collection from Lancome actually surprised me with some interesting shades that are definitely not for weddings only.
537M Pearl grey- Light pastel grey
This is the first one I tried and it is my favorite from this collection. I love gray nail polishes, they have been one of the must have shades past couple of seasons. Formula is great, opaque in two coats. Very complimenting against the light skin tone and interesting choice for wedding manicure, very unusual. I can see myself wearing this year around but spring and fall would probably be two seasons when I would wear it the most.
435B Lilac love - light pastel purple
Very cute light purple that leans more on a cooler side. Formula is slightly thinner but buildable. I did two coats for the picture and it's still not fully opaque but I liked it better this way. Would be fun color for spring.
521M Miss Porcelaine - Light pastel nude
Ok first of all I never or almost never wear nude polishes with this kind of finish and that are not fully opaque. Well Miss porcelaine proved me wrong and become my second favorite from this collection. Beautiful nude with amazing formula and great finish. Such a feminine lady like shade, so complimenting. I can't stop raving about this color. You need it!
533B I do blue - Light pastel blue
What an interesting shade of blue! Much prettier on the nails than in the bottle. Formula is great ,two coats give full coverage. If you need something blue for your wedding this would be great pick! I think it will also look great against tanned skin during the summer. Love it!
224M Beige Bachelorette - Medium pastel beige
My least favorite from this collection. Nothing is really wrong with this color, it's classic nude. Work and school friendly everyday shade. BUT it looks horrible against my skin tone. It blends in so much that I look I have no nails at all, just skin. If my skin tone wasn't as yellow or if it was darker I think it would look great. If you are fan of these kind of shades and you can pull them off, then I suggest getting this one. Formula is thinner, you would need three coats for full coverage. I did two in the photos below.
Overall I am pleased and pleasantly surprised by this collection. Formulas are great, some colors are very unique. I wish Lancome would make I do blue, Pearl grey and Miss porcelaine permanent (fingers crossed).
